Sunday 20th December 2020
3pm – 9pm GMT
Live-streaming from
Glastonbury Information Centre
on Facebook @GICCIC
Join the worldwide Glastonbury Community in Sharing the Light of Kindness this Winter Solstice.
Following the success of our Virtual Summer Solstice celebrations, you are invited to our (totally free) Virtual Winter Solstice to be live-streamed from Glastonbury from the @GICCIC Facebook page.
The shortest day and the longest night, is a turning point of the year, promising the return of the light amid the darkness of winter. All are welcome, regardless of beliefs or spiritual path.
There will be a welcome from the Mayor of Glastonbury, a simple ceremony, a meditation from Chalice Well, seasonal music, a bardic fire, and more! Once again, we will offer a Glastonbury festive virtual marketplace for local people and shops to post promotions and offers.
The Solstice itself is on the 21st this year, but we have chosen the day before to give us an opportunity to settle into our theme, with Kindness, into the silence of the longest night. We also anticipate more people will be able to join us, if at the weekend.
We hope to see you there!
