Glaston Mentoring

 This new mentoring service is being launched early 2020 and is offered to inspire and support individuals living in Glastonbury to develop their vision, confidence and skills to plan to set up successful individual or community based social enterprises.

The main outcome of our service is for people to write a viable business plan to take to a funder.
Our mentees will also feel skilled to apply for funding to manifest their dream by setting up a successful individual business or community based social enterprise.
A key element of our service is to work with people whose spirituality is deeply important in their lives and may be a vital part of manifesting their dream.
 
We are building a range of partnerships to support our service.

Who Can We Serve?
 
  • Do you have a dream you wish to manifest in Glastonbury?
  • Is it time you brought your talents and unique contribute fully into the world?
  • Can you become a social entrepreneur and run a successful local business?
  • Are you keen to clear any financial blockages and to bring prosperity to yourself and to others?
  • Are you ready to explore how you can integrate your spirituality with financial success?
  • Do you want to contribute to a thriving future for the Glastonbury community?
 
This mentoring service will be for you if your answer is yes to two or more of these questions. 
What is Our Service?
 
Our Mentors will offer individual support of 6 one hour sessions to each person.
A small contribution of £5 per session will be requested towards costs.
 
We will also have Specialist Advisors who will offer workshops and information to groups of mentees as required on:
Writing a business plan 
Funding Sources
Finances - VAT, Tax issues, cash flow

Our Mentors
 
Our Mentors are experienced and successful business people, clear in their own spirituality, who are drawn to helping others to manifest their dream.
 
They will provide a high quality mentoring service for individuals seeking to set up their dream business. They will enables their mentee to write a clear and viable business plan for their new social enterprise start-up business to take to a funder.

Mentor Role
 
A mentor is defined in the Oxford Dictionary as an “experienced and trusted adviser”.
 
Glaston Centre mentors will provide specific advice, guidance and support tailored to the unique needs and situation of each of our mentees.
 
This role description describes how our mentors will work:

  1. Being a reality check and stimulation for developing, grounding  and producing an effective business plan to make a successful funding bid
  2. Asking questions to help develop mutual understanding of your mentee’s vision, motivation, blockages, ideas and plans
  3. To work through any issues they might be facing that limit their successful manifestation
  4. Providing appropriate information and knowledge for their learning and growth
  5. Offering different perspectives to encourage broader thinking
  6. Providing support and encouragement
  7. Listening deeply and attentively for the soul and spiritually of the person
  8. Providing insight from your experience as appropriate
  9. Being a sounding board and a critical friend
  10. Encouraging self reflection
  11. Helping mentees identify areas for development and ways to solve their own issues
  12. Providing appropriate guidance and advice without creating dependency
  13. Sharing formal and informal networks
  14. Ensuring that a compelling, realistic business plan with strong financial projections is created
  15. Maintaining confidentiality
