Amy Lynn Tucker
Unity Candle Ambassador
Amy lives in Oregon, USA and joined the Unity Candle Ambassador team in February 2022. Here she shares a little about herself and that the Unity Candle means to her.
Can you tell us about your connection to Glastonbury?
I have yet to visit but it is on my list for this lifetime.
When did you first become aware of the Glastonbury Unity Candle?
I stumbled upon the Glastonbury Unity Candle in late Summer of 2020. I was sitting on my front porch in a sad mood, drinking coffee and scrolling through Facebook. I read about Wellesley Tudor Pole as a teenager trying to figure life out and buried it in the back of my mind and moved on when I thought I had figured it out. The Universe meant for me to find it, and the daily gathering at the same time, with everyone focused on the same outcome of peace and unity, really hit home for me.
Have you had any special experiences with the Unity Candle that you can share with us?
I love that at a time when the world felt so crazy and I felt alone, I found community with others from around the world. I started looking forward to each day and looked forward to seeing the names that scrolled on the feed. It was nice to have a place to focus on finding peace and sending out love to others.
Where in the world are you hosting the Silent Minute?
The very beautiful Falls City, Oregon, USA
Can you tell us a little about your background?
I work closely with the land in agriculture. I farm, raise sheep, garden, make aprons and jams and jellies. When I am not busy working, I spend time volunteering in the community and playing with my grandkids, AKA " The Tree Frogs".
What does the Candle personally mean to you?
It is just a wonderful break in the day where I can concentrate on just being in the moment and focusing on sending out hope, love, peace, healing and unity to all.
Can you tell us a little about your special interests?
Really, the thing that interests me the most, is just making the world a better place. One small act of kindness, with love and peace to all.
Anything else you would like to share?
I don't watch television, but I will watch reruns of Time Team on YouTube. I love history, archeology, a good book or story. Oh and I make a great lemon ginger marmalade.
What does being an Ambassador and hosting the Silent Minute mean to you?
It gives me a sense of belonging and gives me the opportunity to reach out to others who are searching for calm, peace and unity in this world.

There is no power on earth that can withstand the cooperation on spiritual levels of men & women of goodwill everywhere.
