Vicki Steward
Born in an unremarkable Midlands town, Vicki's first job was as an Arts Administrator, with her office being in a Quaker Meeting House. organizing events including a yearly community Spring Festival. She set up a second hand book business and then spent a few years in London where, after a brief stint working for Camden Council became a bookseller in England's largest Occult and New Age bookshop.
Since moving to Glastonbury in 1993, she has worked with numerous local creative people, through enterprises and projects including The Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury Community Development Trust, Sunrise Celebration, Off Grid Festival, The Travellers' Aid Trust and The Library of Avalon. She has been an Event Production Manager for over a decade and is currently Site Manage for the Glasto Latino Area at Glastonbury Festival. Vicki has chosen, wherever possible, to work with organisations who she feels have individual, community and social development as core values.
In April 2016 she inadvertently created a social media 'brand' called 'Normal For Glastonbury', by publishing a blog about life in the Town which rapidly became far more popular than anticipated, giving her the responsibility to continue promoting the Town and it's diverse and creative community in a humorous, but affectionate manner.
